Brookfield, WI
Where are you originally from? I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but as an adult, I have had the privilege to both travel and live in a number of foreign countries including India, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand.
How would you describe your business’ mission or core purpose? It is my most honest wish to help individuals live a life free of pain. Everything I do in my work is meant to help my clients achieve that goal. Whether I help to free my clients from physical or emotional pain, my ultimate goal is to better their lives.
What drew you to start your own business? What led me to found my company was my own experiences with disease. Before I found relief through ayurveda, I suffered from fibromyalgia among other things. I told myself, that if I could help myself, I could help others. It took years of introspection and radical change to my diet and lifestyle habits, but I now live a life free of pain. To live a full and happy life is the best gift I could have ever received. I opened Life without Pain in hopes that I could give that gift to others.
What are the most rewarding and challenging aspects of running your business? Every time a patient leaves my table feeling relief, or reports back to me saying that my work has improved their life in some way, that is what is most rewarding. As far as the most challenging aspect of my business goes, I would say that attempting to help those who are not ready is most frustrating.
What is your vision or dream for the future of your business? In the future I would hope to expand the business. I would love to have a full service retreat center.
What do you like to do for fun? In my spare time I love to travel and eat exotic foods. Closer to home, I enjoy photography and taking dance lessons.

Rozman Wealth Management Employee Wellness Program starts in January.
Last year, President of Rozman Wealth Management, Kurt Rozman, hired a local family practitioner to oversee the Wellness program and the team at Rozman lost over 50 pounds collectively, too many inches to count, and became focused on health and wellness for the remainder of the year. Vice President, Andrew LaFontain, ran a marathon, completed the Tough Mudder Race and was a winner in the fittest execs contest held by Biz Times.
This year Andrew, is gearing up for the month long diet, cleanse and wellness program by going to all of his favorite restaurants before it’s too late!!
Kurt Rozman has hired Ayurvedic practitioner and nutrition counselor, Lisa Belise of Life Without Pain LLC in Brookfield, Wisconsin to oversee the Wellness Program at Rozman Weath Management. Lisa is taking a hands on customized approach to our month long wellness approach.
Stay tuned as we post our successes.
Update on the progress of the Wellness Program 1/17/2012
Paul Serdynski is the big winner after day 9 of the 30 day Wellness program. Paul lost 16 lbs in the first 9 days.
As a group we lost a total of 88 lbs, which was 1 lb per day per person. We are now 1/3 of the way through the program, we estimate the weight loss will stabilize because the second phase is geared toward cleansing the liver, kidney and blood through a modified diet and supplementation.
“After the first few days, I thought we were going to have a rebellion, it was difficult to transition into the program but we all came together – complained for a bit and then rallied to stick it out.” Comments Robin Johnson, Operations Manager
Stay tuned for another update in a couple of weeks.

Easy Seasonal Cleansing the Ayurvedic Way

Ayurveda, which means “the knowledge of life,” is the traditional healing science of India that emphasizes the maintenance of harmony and balance as the means to a state of optimal health in our bodies and minds. As the seasons transition, especially from winter into spring, many traditions, including Ayurveda, recommend cleansing the body. Ayurveda provides a nourishing and effective approach to cleansing that seeks to maintain and restore balance and harmony. Seasonal cleanses ensure regularly scheduled intervals at which people can reestablish healthy routines that may have been thrown out of balance. In addition, ayurvedic cleansing is designed to remove the toxic byproducts formed by inadequate digestion that clog the body’s systems and damages its tissues.
Western medicine concurs that what a person eats may have the greatest impact on overall health, especially that of the colon. Most Americans ingest less than half of the amount of fiber recommended daily. Ayurvedic cleanses incorporate a regimented diet of whole foods that support the body’s natural purification as a natural way to restore balance. The diet should contain complete servings of fiber and protein to keep the body satisfied between meals. Herbs and spices are included, not only to add flavor, but also to stimulate the detoxification and fat-burning processes. Most clients report getting the beneficial results of cleansing without the discomfort they’ve experienced with other products or processes.
Hot oil treatments are another purification tool used in Ayurveda. The ancient ayurvedic curative known as shirodhara involves applying medicinal oil to the forehead. This treatment acts to calm the mind and reduce stress and negative emotion, all common blocks to weight loss. Another, called abhyanga, is the application of oil to the body, in order to hydrate the skin and reduce cellulite.
When considering any type of cleanse, be sure to study the possible risks and side effects of the treatment and work with a qualified health professional to ensure safe, comfortable and effective results.
